I am big fan of the classic cars, but not just for the obvious reasons. Classic Cars are not only a window in the past of automotive design, but also a windows into the future of Automotive design. If anyone needs to predict, what the design language would be in 10 years time, all they need to do is ask 2 questions:
- What demographics will be able to buy the cars in 10 years? Kids born in the 70s? 80s? 90s?
- What were the halo-cars Cars the adults of their time could dream-off but never afford when these kids were growing up?
Two examples of this phenomena are the Mercedes 300SL and the Jaguar F-Type.
